In 1987, he co-founded Mirror Image Software, which developed graphical adventure games across multiple platforms. He purchased his first Macintosh in 1993 and almost immediatedly established Cool Little Software, a development company that later became CLS Design Associates. John began designing with HTML in 1994, at the dawn of the World Wide Web.
A passionate advocate for usability, elegance, and standards compliance, John authored what would come to be known as the CLS Commandments, the document that serves as mission and vision statement for all the work we perform at CLS Design Associates.
John lives in central Missouri with his son Andrew.
